Chicago has a lengthy, radical working-class history. From the Haymarket martyrs and the struggles of immigrant workers to labor organizing, leftist movements and revolutionary politics across the city. This history belongs not only in textbooks, but in the communities of Chicago (and all of Illinois) today. The Marxists of Illinois organization seeks to preserve that very legacy, learn from its success and help revive a tradition of working-class organizing for the present.
